Singer, business woman, and Feminist icon, Patsy Cline’s remarkable but short-lived life is shared by fellow singer and songwriter, Audrey Auld. Patsy is considered to be one of the most influential, successful and acclaimed vocalists of the 20th century who helped pave the way for women as headline performers in the genre. In 1999, she was voted number 11 on VH1’s special, The 100 Greatest Women in Rock and Roll.
This podcast is a syndication of The #HerStory Podcast, which tells the stories of 50 historical women, not through names and dates of textbooks, but through the voices of contemporary women.
Hear elected officials, academics, mothers, filmmakers, authors, activists, CEO’s, and more offer snapshots of these women’s lives, from the headliners to the lesser-known gems. A project by Chick History.
